Celia Sobrino, Project coordinator and professor at Carlos III University, held a workshop at the
Amós Acero school in Vallecas district, on the occasion of the Madrid science week.
The workshop was aimed at third grade students and it addressed the research carried out in
the university about renewable energy and solar energy. The experience consisted in a brief
explanation of the subject and then the children could make an experiment with a
thermographic camera that helped them to understand and use tools that are employed in
laboratories where scientists investigate the heat transfer in solar thermal facilities.
In addition, the TOPCSP project was presented, showing what it consists of and the objectives
that we will try to achieve.
